Keyboard shortcuts
These work while the canvas has focus.
- Arrow keys move the pen. Hold Shift for big steps, or Alt for tiny steps.
- Space puts the pen down or lifts it. P says where the pen is.
- Shapes and Select: Space sets the start point, and Space again finishes. Escape cancels a shape that is half drawn.
- Text: type in the Text to place field, then press Space on the canvas.
- 1 Pen, 2 Spray, 3 Calligraphy, 4 Eraser, 5 Fill, 6 Line, 7 Rectangle, 8 Ellipse, 9 Text, 0 Select and move, H Hand.
- Left square bracket makes the pen smaller, right square bracket makes it bigger.
- Plus zooms in, minus zooms out, F fits the drawing to the screen.
- With a selection: arrow keys move it, Enter or Space places it, Delete removes it, Escape puts it back.
- Control plus Z undoes, Control plus Y redoes. Control plus V pastes a picture from the clipboard.
